June 2009 Archives

Here are some shots of the installation in Harvard Square and me fixing up, because the original construction had a very leaky canopy. But after much trial and error I think it's pretty good now. At the bottom is a shot of how many question cards I got one day, nearly 400! Most days I get about 150, I think.

Thanks to Karen Marlene Larsen for some of the shots, whose portfolio is on flickr, and Peter & Jo-Ann Monsarrat for the remainder.

After the Cambridge River Festival, I suddenly realized I was alone, without any cart or van, and had no way of getting the installation to its next location, in Harvard Square, even though it was only a quarter-mile away. I would have to personally disassemble and lug the whole thing, a task of at least 3 hours.

So instead, having an adventurous mind and placing faith in the goodness of strangers, I borrowed a dolly and made an announcement to the crowd yielding some volunteers. We lifted the thing onto the dolly and rolled it over in one piece!! What fun! It got caught in a few low-hanging tree branches but otherwise went smoothly.

Following are some photos from the opening day celebration on Sunday June 14, featuring the Red Herring Morris Dancers from Belmont, Massachusetts.

I've finally put up photos of the 2009 Wheel Questions! They are the last four entries (about 40 photos) under the Backstage Blog, the blog behind the scenes of Wheel Questions.

Will I Find True Love?

Yes, but you have to have the confidence to say "no" to the wrong people to be available for the right ones. And then you need to be brave & active in meeting people to find your true match.

Build confidence by ending this waiting & hoping that the draining relationships & responsibilities in your life will get better. You have to make it better by taking action.
