Why aren't there flying cars?

I have a new tree! Here's the first of some pics. Here's a happy card that asks "Where's the bright future we were promised?" Answer: "We're in it!"

Why aren't there flying cars?

Of course there are flying cars! You've never seen an airplane or a helicopter?
