How do you stop from taking your anger out on someone else?

In the future we'll learn that anger is a disease related to depression and there will be a cure for this medical bias. For right now -- like people who gain weight easily -- you just have to deal with it. The first step is realizing that you can deal with it.


How do you stop from taking your anger out on someone else?

 


Dwelling on your anger focuses it. "Venting" is a myth.

When you're angry, think, "How much would I pay that this had never happened? $5,000? $50? $5?"

How mad can you be over a $5 problem? Think, "Look, there's going to be a terrible period where I'm miserable & act out & ruin my day & the day of those around me, & then I'll accept it. Why not accept starting now or do something constructive?"
