Old isn't really an age. It's how you view yourself. Once I met this smug woman at a party who asked me when the last time was that I'd climbed a tree. I said last week and that shut her up pretty well. Of course, I didn't tell her that before that, it had been more than a decade. And I only got into the tree because I got a kite stuck up there. :)

Kids are pretty messed up, but they get some things right, like wonder at everyday life. Look around!

How old is too old?

When you refuse to climb a tree on a dare, you're officially old.

If you're so old you can't climb a tree, you can make silly faces instead, to stay young.

I have updated the donations website. PayPal really put people off. It asked a TON of personal questions and just made it very hard to contribute money. Now I'm a "sponsored project" of Fractured Atlas. That means basically I get my non-profit status from them. Please make a contribution and help keep Wheel Questions going.

I just turned 60 yrs and I feel like life is over -- it's for the young, thin, and beautiful. It's a dark cloud

Tell me why I should live another day?

Because your heart can mislead you. Just like it can say to eat an entire bag of oreos or love the wrong person, it can fool you into thinking you can't be happy.

Call 800-SUICIDE and you'll find there are dozens of pick-me-up things you can do to prove to yourself that life is good.

Do it NOW. I'll wait.

It's never too late to teach, to inspire, to organize, to create. Here's a card on that.

How do I prepare for the losses that naturally come with aging.

Some people are born deaf or handicapped but live great lives. Don't let a few disabilities disguise all the abilities you do have. Maybe now's the time to take up painting, start a club, & keep feeling engaged.

And do what's smart about health.

Yes, but you have to make them fantastic.

Who are the old friends you should call, the projects you keep putting off, & the dreams you haven't gotten to yet?

No matter your age, the time is now.

As I enter my 70s what are the sources for maintaining personal power as I find my physical powers diminishing?

Thanks for a lovely concept on a rainy winter day

The pen is mightier than the sword. Maybe now is the time for you to write memoirs or a family genealogy tree, or take a leadership role in a community group or as a mentor. It's not hard to find ways to be engaged & respected if you look.

What we believe intellectually and we feel emotionally can fight each other. Sitting on the sofa, of course you don't have any energy. It's the sitting itself that drains you. If you can believe that getting up for a few minutes will make you feel better, then do it -- and you'll be glad you did just a few minutes later. :)

Here's a card about that.

Lately, I've felt like a mournful old spirit trapped inside a supple young body (no sex, hardly any laughter, etc.). What will it take for me to feel young again?

Hobby clubs are full of zealous people whose passion is infectious.

Join one or start one! The trick is believing that if you give it a week you'll be glad you did.

Just sitting waiting for inspiration won't work. Get out there & you'll soon feel more energetic. As for romance, go online or network through friends.

Try exercising, & smile more -- that's beauty!
